Gene McCubbin To Judge at the 2009 Global Student Entrepreneur Awards
HOUSTON, TX - November 18, 2009 - Pop Labs' President, Gene McCubbin, will serve on a panel of judges at the 2009 Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (2009), held November 18-20 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) program is the premier award for students who own and run businesses while attending a college or university. This weekend, finalists will have the opportunity to present their businesses to a panel of judges, engage with world class entrepreneurs, receive media exposure, win cash and share in over $150,000 in donated business services.
McCubbin will be one of the elite judges and special guests chosen to judge these students' business pitches. He states, "I am honored to have this prestigious opportunity to socialize with other successful entrepreneurs and investors. I have personally supported entrepreneurism through Junior Achievement, mentoring and education locally, and even in the prison system (www.pepweb.org); I have always felt it is a valid and exciting career opportunity. Times like this economically are a testimony to the need for more and ongoing entrepreneurial education in our communities. These students are the elite, best of the best, and I am excited to be a part of this event."
The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards are a program of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), of which McCubbin is a proud member.
